十、作形式賓語
句型一: 主語+謂語動詞+it +賓語補(bǔ)足語+(for/of sb.)+不定式/動名詞/名詞性從句
在這個句型中，謂語動詞通常是find, think, make, consider, regard等。引導(dǎo)名詞性從句的有that, if, whether, who, what, when, where, how等。
201. I think it important that we keep up with the times.
202. I think it possible for us to get there on time if we hurry.
203. Do you think it possible to finish it in time?
204. We all consider it wrong to cheat in examination.
205. I feel it my duty to help the poor.

it可以用在have, enjoy, hate, like, love, take, appreciate等動詞后充當(dāng)形式賓語。

此句型意為“認(rèn)為……是理所當(dāng)然的”，that可省略。

十一、用于強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)
句型：It is/was + 被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分 +that/who +其他成分.
被強(qiáng)調(diào)的是人時可以用that或who，或whom，其它一律用that。
(一). 強(qiáng)調(diào)主語

十二、沒有實(shí)意的if
(一). 作seem, happen等動詞的主語
it常做seem, appear, happen, turn out等動詞的主語，在這些結(jié)構(gòu)中，it沒有實(shí)意。
253. It seems unlikely that he will pass the exam.他不大可能會通過考試。
254. It happened that I was not in the classroom when the earthquake happened. 地震發(fā)生時我碰巧不在教室。
255. It turned out (to be) a stormy day. 結(jié)果那天風(fēng)狂雨驟。

(二). 泛指“生活”、“生活環(huán)境”等
